today my new RAM arrived!!

The Installation wasn’t as easy as i thought. It was easy to insert the RAM itself, but on the booted PC i did not see any changes!

I googled a lot and learned, that i have to install an new kernel version. so i reinstalled the whole root system. My data was safe on a separate Partition.

Now everything works fine! its a lot easier to work with 2.5GB RAM than with just 512MB!!!

so today i had to give my second presentation for the project…. it was terrible!!

i don’t really have something worth to present, thats why my presentation was too short. its also the reason why i was soo nervous! i spoke way to fast, because i just wanted to finish that!

i don’t know what the prof was thinking about it – i was too afraid to ask – but his face told me a lot.. :-(

so i did my written composition for scripting languages.

I had to ask for a filing extension of about 1 week, because i got sick. but now its all finished.

as i’m writing this post month later to catch up, i can tell you the grade right away ;-) i got a 1.7!!

ok, so we finished the written composition for usability.

Me and a fellow student did the usability test last Wednesday and on Thursday we met to write all things down. Ok, he did the most part on writing, but i prepared everything, the scenarios, the handouts… and i had to format his text a little.. His text was very good, but the layout he chose was terrible!! So i changed it!

Yesterday i printed everything and gave it to our prof today!

Ok the task says: “buy an iPhone” but i changed it an bit!

I’d really like to have an iPhone, but its sooo expensive! In really don’t know if i will ever be able to buy one..

but it was almost time to extend my contract with vodafone and therefore i had the right to choose a new handy…

there’s no iPhone in the vodafone shop and it won’t be there anytime soon, so i chose another one.. the viewty! It’s not an iPhone, but i love it!!!

It has a nice big touchscreen, and i can watch videos and even MobileTv with it. it has of course a mp3 player, and a radio. And the 5MP camera is great! And you can edit your Fotos and viedeos an the phone!

Today i had to submit my requirements specification for the SE-Project.

I thought i would have more time… about 2 weeks more.. but last week i recognized that the deadline is the first September!!

So i mailed Mrs Burchart about it and made an appointment to talk about possible changes on the document. We met last Wednesday…

She confirmed all changes and now i’m waiting for my mark…

Today arrived my new book: “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and i had to start reading!!

when i ordered it i didn’t realize it is a book with vocabulary explanations.. it’s a bit disturbing sometimes.. and mostly not very helpful, because Adams invented most of the words, so the explanation only says: The word should name a planet or an alien race..

But i love the way adams write! I really enjoy reading it!

i marked that task as processing because at the moment i’m very proud of me.. the keep-everything-clean-thing is working really good this time!

i clean all the dishes almost immediately after use! it’s hard work to keep it that way, but i will definitively try to!! ;-)

i bought an new printer today! i just wanted to buy new ink cartridges for my printer but they are soo expensive.. and as i cannot tell for sure if my printer would work with new cartridges i decided it would be best to buy a new one…And there was this nice little Epson printer with four separate cartridges.. i knew that would be the best and cheapest solution, but i wasn’t sure if it would work under Linux.. so i went back home and did some research..

i read some positive field reports, so i bought it. but i had some trouble installing it… until i downloaded TurboPrint. it’s just a demo version but works fine, so far…

oh and yesterday i ordered the “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”-Book online, so i can mark that task as finished, too.
